Police, fire, and medical emergencies. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says you can text 911 when you cannot safely talk, and that a text is handled with the same priority as a call.

Poison Control

The national poison helpline for a swallowed medicine, a chemical exposure, or a bite you are unsure about. This is not a substitute for 911 if someone is unconscious or not breathing.
